Holly Houses is made up of two homes designed around the same concept: a private residence and an Airbnb stay. Inspired by mediterranean design, the project combines natural materials, warm textures, and timeless details to create spaces that feel both elegant and relaxed. Although one house is designed for everyday living and the other for short stays, both share the same identity.
Designing two homes with different purposes allowed us to explore two ways of experiencing a space. The private residence was tailored to the client’s daily routines, creating a home that feels practical, personal, and easy to live in over time. At the same time, the Airbnb villa was designed around a more universal experience of tropical living, focusing on comfort, simplicity, and a sense of escape that guests can immediately connect with.
our approach
Located in South Bali, where the sun can be particularly strong throughout the day, both homes were carefully designed to manage heat, light, and airflow naturally. Clean architectural lines create a calm and timeless structure, while softer shapes in the interiors bring warmth and ease. Through natural materials, thoughtful layouts, and a strong response to the local climate, the project creates spaces that feel welcoming whether you are coming home every day or discovering Bali for the first time.
